Every year, Synergy Film Festival (SFF) honors exceptional talent by distributing awards across 22 diverse categories while offering participants an unforgettable festival experience.
In a landscape where over 3,000 film festivals take place annually in the United States alone, and approximately 15,000 films find their audience through these platforms, many remarkable stories often remain unnoticed. At SFF, we strive to change that narrative.

Narratives
This event will showcase competitive screenings of Feature Films, Foreign Films, and Documentary Films spanning a variety of genres, with project lengths ranging from 10 to 120 minutes, depending on the category. Designed to spotlight emerging and established talent from across the U.S.A. and beyond, the festival offers a dynamic platform for filmmakers to share their stories with an engaged audience in Los Angeles.
Shorts
This event will showcase Short Film content across a diverse range of genres, including Student Films, Web Series, Animation Shorts, Comedy Shorts, Horror Shorts, Thriller Shorts, Sci-Fi Shorts, Drama Shorts, and Music Videos. With project lengths up to 40 minutes, the festival highlights work from seasoned filmmakers as well as emerging student talent, offering a vibrant platform for storytelling and creative expression.
Scripts
Feature Scripts, Short Scripts — the foundation of every great film begins with a powerful script. In this category, we celebrate the storytelling craft and unique voices of screenwriters, whether it’s a short, impactful narrative or an expansive feature-length screenplay. Each script, ranging from 5 to 120 pages, is carefully evaluated for originality, structure, and emotional depth. Our aim is to highlight exceptional writing talent and provide a platform for these stories to reach industry professionals and a wider audience.
Actors & Directors
This category celebrates talent across various roles, including Male Actor, Female Actor, Male Director, Female Director, First-Time Filmmaker, and any project under 40 minutes. It provides a platform for both emerging talents and seasoned professionals to showcase their skills and creativity. Our goal is to highlight diverse voices and introduce exceptional talent to a broader audience while offering well-deserved recognition and awards.
Editing & Production
Trailers, Editing, and Production are essential elements in bringing a film's vision to life. In this category, the artistic expertise and technical precision of directors, editors, and producers are carefully evaluated and celebrated. Our goal is to highlight exceptional talent behind the scenes, ensuring their work is recognized by industry leaders and showcased to a wider audience. Projects in this category can range between 10 to 120 minutes, depending on the specific requirements of each category.
Rules
All scripts must be in English to be considered. All foreign-language films must include English subtitles.
Submission Eligibility:
All submissions must have been completed after January 1, 2022.
There is no premiere policy.

Event Details:
Synergy Film Festival provides an award ceremony only, with no full film or live screenings.
Awards:
Synergy Film Awards will present certificates, laurels, and trophies to nominated submissions in various categories for cinematic excellence.
Rules:
→ All films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles.
→ All films must have been made in or after 2022.
→ Filmmakers are responsible for securing copyright permissions for their materials.
→ By submitting, you grant us the right to screen your film in front of a live audience.
→ If you do not hear from us, your project is not a nominee.
→ We may promote clips from your film on the FilmFreeway platform or social media, based on the press kits you provide.
→ We reserve the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. Filmmakers will be informed of any changes via our online platforms.
→ We do not place restrictions on your work regarding premiere status or online availability.
→ Technical issues with submitted films are the responsibility of the filmmakers. Submissions with non-functioning video files or missing English subtitles (for non-English films) will be rejected without a refund. Please contact the festival team ASAP to resolve any submission issues.
→ Refunds are not provided.
→ Winners may receive their trophy at the award ceremony.
If you are unable to attend, a shipping fee will apply should you wish to have your trophy mailed to you.
